LAHORE - The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party has approved Rs9.14 billion for provision of laptops under the head of education sector.
The scheme was approved in special meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2016-17, presided over by Chairman P&D Board, Punjab Mohammad Jehanzeb Khan. Secretary P&D Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, all members of the Planning & Development Board, provincial secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.
According to spokesman for P&DD, the approved development scheme consists of only provision of laptops at the cost of Rs9144.339 million. In its previous meeting on Nov 18, the Punjab Provincial Development Working Party approved two development schemes of road sector with an estimated cost of Rs 2.09 billion. The schemes were approved in the 30th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2016-17.
