LAHORE - The provincial counterterrorism department conducted raids in Gujranwala and Rawalpindi districts on Tuesday and arrested four terror suspects.

According to a CTD spokesman, two teams of CTD carried out intelligence-based operations in Gujranwala and Rawalpindi districts. A terror suspect identified as Muhammad Irfan was arrested in Rawalpindi, while Abdul Wahab, Mudassar Nazir and Iqbal were arrested in Gujranwala.

The counter terror operatives also seized explosive material and automatic weapons from the suspects. The suspects were shifted to different police facilities for further interrogation. According to the spokesman, all four suspects were members of the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, a terror group involved in suicide bomb attacks across the country.
