KARACHI (PR) - PIA scouts celebrated Iqbal Hamara Programme at PIA Scouts Provincial Headquarter Karachi on Tuesday.

Provincial Secretary Rashid Amin Dar said that Allama Iqbal through his philosophy and poetry established a great ideology of enlightened moderation and highness of humanity in the society. His teaching and poetry were studied and implemented across the world, but unfortunately no one in the country has yet benefited it. Today more than ever we need Iqbal's teachings, he held.  According to provincial spokesman Syed Mehboob Qadri, Assistant Provincial Secretary Shamas Khan and other provincial officials Ghulam Qadir, Muhammad Usman, Tariq Insari, District Commissioners Tasawwur Attique and Abdul Rauf attended the closing ceremony.

PIA girl scouts performed hosting tasks. District Commissioner Tasawwur Atique said that the poetry of Allama Iqbal was also beneficial for the children. Iqbal used a word ‘Shaheen’ for children in his poetry, he noted. The name of Allama Iqbal is described with love and respect despite lapse of several years after his death.
