Universal Children’s Day marked

SIALKOT -The Universal Children’s Day was observed at the auditorium of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) under the auspices of Child and Social Development Organisation (CSDO).
A large number of children, their teachers and parents besides CSDO Vice President Dr Mariyam Nouman, SCCI Vice President Abid Ahmed Khawaja, leading exporters, philanthropists, social welfare department officials, NGOs representatives, senior educationists and senior journalists attended the celebration.
They encouraged the children towards getting education at the CSDO Schools being run here by Child and Social Development Organization (CSDO) under the joint supervision the Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) and Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI).
On the occasion, the Sialkot-based leading exporters and philanthropists announced to donate generously for the continuity of the education of these children. Addressing the participants, SCCI President Zahid Latif Malik also hailed the efforts of the Punjab government, SCCI and CSDO officials in making these children as the useful citizens of the society by opening the doors of quality education to the children, enabling them to serve the nation in better way.
On the occasion, the CSDO Vice President Dr Mariyam Nouman stressed a need for provision of quality education to the children. He said that they deserve proper attention, love, care and affection.
He said, “Children were also the future of the nation and we should never neglect them.”
The students also spoke well during their speeches on the topic of importance of education for everyone. They shared their experience of getting education after leaving their labour and the garbage-picking. They thanked the SCCI, CSDO and the Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) for these result-oriented efforts of the Sialkot exporters for opening the doors of getting quality education to them.
