Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah had called Kashmir 'the jugular vein of Pakistan'. Yet the recent Pakistani governments have been busy choking it off. General Musharraf took a u-turn on Kashmir but nobody can match the audacity of what Mr. Zardari has done. He has now denied his statement but the damage is done.
