LAHORE - Jamaat-e-Islami on Wednesday set up central camps at Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Islamabad and Quetta for holding Peoples Referendum against the Kerry-Lugar Bill on October 23 (Friday). JI Secretary General Liaquat Baloch inaugurated a Referendum Camp at Multan Chungi in the presence of former MNA Maulana Abdul Akbar Chitrali, National Labour Federation chief Rafiq Ahmed Khan, JI information secretary M Anwar Khan Niazi and others. Speaking on the occasion, Liaquat Baloch said the Referendum was bound to succeed as the nation was in no mood to accept the Kerry-Lugar Bill, a document of US enslavement. He said if the people in power took to austerity, corruption came to an end and the rulers brought back their wealth in foreign banks, all the economic difficulties of the country would be over.
