Our Staff reporter FAISALABAD - The Industry-Academia link is necessary to boost up trade and industry in the country, said Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) president Muzammil Sultan while addressing a seminar on Entrepreneurship Day at the University of Faisalabad. UAF School of Management Studies Amin Campus organised an Entrepreneurship Day, in which students from BBA setup eight stalls. These stalls included: Attractions (Perfume house), Food Products (Mix snacks), Print Plain (Printed bed and bath accessories), Fish House (Aquariums, fish, sea creatures), Bamboo Cones (Branded Paan stall), Fruit Buckets (Mix buckets of fruit and cocktails), D Generation (Jeans and Casual wear) and BIKS (Flavour Milk). These stalls were an exceptional showcase of the innovated products with new marketing strategies, all planned and managed by the students. The FCCI president was the chief guest at the inaugural session. Prof Muhammad Ashfaq, Head School of Management Studies in his address, gave introduction and briefed about the objectives of the event. Mr Muzammil Sultan in his address said that such useful events at the university level would definitely help the students understand the importance of entrepreneurship. He stressed the need for innovation in production, keeping in view the consumers trends and adopting modern marketing strategies to capture local as well as international markets. He emphasized the need of Industry - Academia liaison to boost up the trade and Industry in the country. He assured the cooperation of FCCI in this context. He visited the stalls and commended the efforts of students.
