LAHORE The acquittal of senior PML-Q leader, Moonis Elahi reflects the independence of judiciary, while this decision established the fact that Moonis was innocent, said PML-Q chief, Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain. He expressed these views while talking to various party delegations and workers who reached Zahoor Elahi Lane at Gulberg on Friday very after the acquittal of Moonis to greet him. Ch Shujaat said that he and his family firmly believes in the independence of judiciary and that was the reason that Moonis came back to Pakistan from London to face baseless cases against himself. Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain along with Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi and other family members including Ch Wajahat Hussain, Ch Shafaat Hussain, Ch Shafay Hussain and Rasikh Elahi welcomed Moonis Elahi on his arrival at home after his acquittal. Party leaders along with workers in various groups reached Moonis residence to greet and welcome their leader. The charged party activists on this occasion raised slogans in favour of independent judiciary and Ch Moonis, Chaudhary Shujaat and Chaudhary Pervaiz. While some of them danced to the tunes of drum beat to welcome their leader. They were also carrying posters and banners inscribed with pictures of Moonis on this occasion. Prominent among PML-Q leaders were Raja Basharat, Ch Zaheer, Akram Chaudhary, Haleem Adil Sheikh, Akram Masih Gill, Amir Cheema, Seemal Kamran, Amna Ulfat and Dr Samaya Amjad.
