OUR STAFF REPORTER SADIQABAD - Pushcart vendors of Main Market Gulshan Iqbal here held a protest demonstration, alleging that the Tehsil Municipal Administration officials take fruit and other edibles as extortion from them without payment. The vendors alleged that they regularly paid weekly extortion money to the officials concerned of the TMA, but after a couple of days they were forced to leave the roadsides and pushcarts of many people were confiscated. The protesters said that they work hard for earning livelihood for their families but the TMA officials were trying to blow out their stove fire.
