LAHORE A 20-year-old youth was gunned down under unexplained reasons while two men allegedly strangled to death their sister over property dispute in separate police areas of the City on Friday. According to the police reports, a youth Inam-ul-Rehman alias Chaand Shah, son of Suleman and a resident of Makhanpura, Shadbagh, was shot dead by two relatives in the wee hours of Friday. Police investigators believed seconds after he sustained volley of bullets, the deceased phoned his father and informed that his two relatives were involved in this episode of heinous crime. They said Mr Shah, a shopkeeper by profession, phoned his father around 3am and told he was lying in nearby street after sustaining multiple bullets. On which, Suleman along with his friends approached the site and shifted his wounded son to a nearby hospital where the doctors pronounced him dead. Later, the body was handed over to the bereaved family after police completed necessary medico-legal formalities. Earlier, official quarters maintained that the victim family knew about the criminals but an FIR was lodged against unidentified accused. Yes, the family has urged us doing so giving plea the innocents may not be implicated and only responsible persons should be brought to justice, a senior cop said. Meanwhile, one Rabia Bibi was allegedly strangled to death by her two brothers Arif and Shahzad over property dispute.
