KARACHI  - Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said that presence of huge crowd and successful staging of the first Twenty20 match between All Star Pakistan and International World XI has sent positive signals. “Its sent a positive signals that Karachi, Sindh and Pakistan is safe for holding international sporting events,” he said after the presentation ceremony at National Stadium here on Saturday night. “Overall it is great success and reflects that Pakistan is safe for holding international sports,” he remarked.  The success of this match had sent a strong message to the world community, he added. Foreign team declined to tour Pakistan after terrorists attacks on the touring Sri Lankan team in March 2009. He said there should be international events like hockey, football and other sports in Karachi and Pakistan and expressed  the hope foreign teams would be visiting Pakistan for resumption of international sports activity.Sanath Jayasuriya and his team members were surprised by the massive 34,000 capacity crowd in the ground. Chief Minister said match provided great entertainment to the international cricket-starved peoples of Karachi. He lauded the contribution of Sindh Sports Minister Dr.Muhammad  Ali Shah for bringing international cricketers to Pakistan. The successful staging of the match is big step in revival of international cricket in Pakistan.
