LAHORE – The Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) Vice Chancellor Dr Sabiha Mansoor has said that LCWU is a caring university and feels very much concerned for the health and safety of students, faculty and other staff.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the VC said, “University is taking effective measures to avoid any lapse in this regard. Dengue awareness campaign for faculty, students, administrative and support staff is a regular feature of LCWU. Such seminars and awareness activities will be carried out simultaneously. Monitoring squads are formulated at departmental level and unit level, who will monitor university premises for immediate corrective measures on daily basis.

Special cleanliness campaign will be launched by various teaching and administrative departments.” She further said, “LCWU had been actively working for the prevention, control and management of dengue since last year. The actions were pertaining to the regular spray of insecticides, controlling breading grounds of mosquitoes, medical camps for check up.
