KALAYA - Security forces killed eight militants and destroyed several hideouts in Orakzai Agency on Sunday morning. According to details, the security forces on a tip-off shelled the suspected hideouts of militants in Mamozai and Khadazai localities of Orakzai Agency with heavy artillery fire.
As a result, at least eight militants were killed and several others were injured.
Several hideouts of the extremists were also destroyed in operation.
Sources said death toll might rise as many militants were suspected to be buried under the rubble of destroyed hideouts.
It merits mentioning here that after attack on Malala Yousafzai in Swat, the security forces have accelerated action against terrorists in Khyber and Orakzai agencies.
