Karachi - A fire has broken out at a towel-making factory in New Karachi area of the largest city and financial capital of the country, officials said on Sunday.  According to initial reports, the fire erupted at the first floor of the factory, causing material losses. Fortunately, no loss of life has been reported. A team of fire fighters reached the factory and kick started the rescue efforts. Rescue sources say that most of the workers have been evacuated to safety. Last month nearly 200 people were killed in fire tragedy in garment factory of Karachi.Rangers nab 9 alleged criminals: The Pakistan Rangers, Sindh, conducted 10 targeted raids in different areas of the metropolis on Saturday night. A spokesman of the Rangers said on Sunday that nine ‘notorious criminals’ were arrested. He further stated that 10 weapons of different calibres, hand grenades, ammunition and uniforms of LEAs were also recovered.
