First national conference on dentistry held in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD –The first national dental practitioners’ conference was held at the University Medical and Dental College, aiming at enhancing the incorporation of latest advancements in dentistry.
The conference targeted the practicing dental surgeons from the Central Punjab and other parts of the country. The conference comprised two parts. The first part included eight lectures by experienced consultants in the field. Dr Ayyaz Ali Khan, Dr Samir Qazi, Dr Moghees Baig, Dr Ulfat Bashir, Dr Arshad Malik, Dr Agha Suhail, Dr Arham Chohan and Dr Hina Zafar Raja were the key speakers during the first part of the conference. Moreover consultants along with more than 300 dental surgeons from all over the country graced the event with their presence.
The second part of the conference comprised four workshops on Orthodontics Treatment Planning, Management of Pediatric Patients, Rotary Endodontics and Crown and Bridge facilitated by Dr Ulfat Bashir, Dr Arham Chohan, Dr Agha Suhail and Dr Hina Zafar Raja respectively. All the technicalities and minor details of dental procedures were well elaborated to the participants of these workshops.
The conference was chaired by Dr Faqir Hussain Khan, Deen Faculty of Health Sciences the University of Faisalabad and Dr Abdul Majeed, Director Quality Enhancement Cell, TUF co-chaired the mega event. Major (r) Izharul Ahsan, Registrar TUF also graced the occasion. Dr Syed Akhtar Hussain Bokhari delivered the welcome address and Dr Mian Farrukh Imran said the closing words. The activity quite startling for a city like Faisalabad proved to be an eye catching event for the media. The lasting effects on the event will keep on expressing themselves in the dental community in the coming era.
