Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Liaqat Baloch said four and a half years of the PPP led coalition government had witnessed destruction of economy besides large scale blood letting, extortion and worst price hike.  Talking to a delegation of Lahore Business Forum at his residence on Sunday, he said the situation called for holding free, fair and transparent elections under an impartial interim government.

Liaqat Baloch said that the common man was at the mercy of target killers. He said that Karachi was disturbed due to which economy of the country was affected. Economic decline had placed the country at the mercy of the IMF and the World Bank. The burden of foreign and internal loans had risen to a record level and the cost price of each and everything had increased, he said, adding that this was all due to corruption and bad governance.
