NANKANA SAHIB - The district administration has evolved a security plan for Eidul Azha, Muharram and celebrations of anniversary of Ghuru Nanak to thwart the vicious designs of terrorists, the district coordination officer said.

District Coordination Officer Dr Usman Ali Khan was addressing a meeting of District Peace Committee here at Sports Club.

He asked the clerics from all schools of thought to shun their differences and exhibit solidarity to eliminate sectarianism.

He added that there would be a ban on the use of loudspeaker during Moharram and the violators would be dealt with sternly.

He said that a campaign would be launched against wall-chalking and provocative posters. He asked the clerics to cooperate with the district administration for maintaining peace in the days to come.

The meeting was also attended by religious scholars, traders, district government, district police, Lesco and Rescue-1122 In-charge.

Special duties regarding wastage of scarificial animals would be collected at different points of the district and clean environment would be ensured, he said.

On the occasion, District Police Officer Ghulam Mubashar Maikin said that police would evolve a comprehensive security and surveillance plan for coming events. He urged the masses to support police.

On the occasion, Allam Muhibun Nabi Tahir, Haji Abdul Hameed Rehmani, Milad-e-Mustafa Committee Chairman Hameed Kokab, Marakzi Anjuman Tajran secretary general Shahid Mahmood, Fiqa Jaferia leader Syed Muzzafar Hussain Shah and others praised the efforts for maintaining peace and religious harmony in the district including arrangements by district administration.
