Cheema says NHMP on way to Quaid’s vision

LAHORE  - National Highways & Motorway Police Inspector General Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema said: “Motorway Police is considered as a role model institution of Pakistan and now we will make it one of the best highway police in the world.”
Cheema expressed these views while addressing passing out parade in Training College Sheikhupura on Tuesday.
The IGP said that honesty and courtesy are the basic traits that made this department symbol of pride for the nation. He said that Motorway Police had ensured rule of law in accordance with the vision of Quide-e-Azam.
“Law should be equally enforced and there should be no concession or exception for anyone. Other departments should also adopt this standard of equality,” the inspector general added.
Cheema said that we would strengthen writ of law in our area of jurisdiction. He congratulated passed out trainees and said that he expected that well trained officers would enhance the traffic discipline and make the highways even more secure.
Commandant Training College DIG Ahsan Sadiq said that standard of training is at par with international level. He said that during training basic qualities like honesty, courtesy and rendering help to the road users had been inculcated to the officers.
