GUJRANWALA -Divisional Commissioner Shumail Ahmad Khawaja has said that action plan to implement anti-dengue campaign should be initiated across the division while dengue larva eradication campaign has been launched at union council level. The Commissioner was presiding over a high-level meeting to review arrangements for anti-dengue campaign here the other day.
He said that a central control room had been established to collect complete data pertaining to dengue. He said that all necessary drugs and chemicals had also been made available to ensure eradication of dengue larva.  All officers belong to health, education, TMAs and district administrative departments attended the meeting.  The Commissioner urged upon the need for sensitize the masses to adopt precautionary measures for dengue prevention.
He ordered strict monitoring of graveyards, tyre shops and warehouses, besides ensuring removal of debris from parks and other places. He asked the health department to arrange anti-dengue spray at different places and points in the city.
On the occasion, the Anti-Dengue Campaign Project Director briefed the Commissioner about dengue prevention arrangements. He told the Commissioner that the resources being used for the anti-dengue campaign were sufficient.
