In occupied Kashmir, a complete shutdown was observed on Monday against the brutal killings of nine Kashmiri youth in Kulgam district.
Call for the shutdown has been given by the Joint Resistance Leadership, comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik.
In a statement, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said that they will also hold a protest sit-in at Lal Chowk in Srinagar against the Kulgam mayhem.
It is pertinent to mention here that Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred nine Kashmiri youth and injured more than fifty others in Laroo area of Kulgam district yesterday.
Meanwhile, Kashmir Council for Human Rights President Dr Syed Nazir Gilani has demanded an end to further bloodshed in the Occupied Kashmir.
In a letter addressed to UN Secretary General António Guterres has said that the images coming out of Kashmir of brutalities committed by Indian forces is causing a stir among the Kashmiri diaspora. He said that plebiscite should be held to resolve the Kashmir dispute.
