President Asif Ali Zardari convened PPPs Core Committee meeting to discuss the situation arising out of PML-N patron Nawaz Sharifs anti-government moves on Wednesday (today). The meeting will be presided over by Co Chairman of the party, President Asif Ali Zardari. According to presidential spokesperson, the meeting would take up the current political status quo in the country. The session would also hammer out a strategy to cope with the news of change in democratic set-up besides the meeting would also take a stock of the devastation wreaked by floods and the ongoing relief efforts across the country. Sources said that Pakistan Peoples Party ministers would call on President Zardari at 2:00pm right before the Committees meeting. Sources said that the meeting would also discuss appointment of new party president in Punjab.
