Punjab govt spoiled the budget to halt formation of Saraiki province: Latif Khosa

Governor Punjab Sardar Latif Khosa has said that Punjab government is major hurdle in the way of creation of Saraiki province as it spoiled the entire budget in unneeded projects.
Talking to media persons at Multan airport on Saturday, Sardar Latif Khosa blamed the Punjab government for creating hurdles in the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) proposed projects for the well being of province including formation of Saraiki province. He said the provincial government spent entire budget for beautification of Raiwind and unnecessary development projects like rapid bus service.
He said that sacrilegious film has hurt the sentiments of entire Muslim Ummah but violent protests, killing of innocent people, ransacking public and private property was no solution of issue. He emphasized that it would further add to financial crisis of the country which was already in the grip of financial crunch due to various reasons.
Commenting over Dr Aafia’s issue, the Governor said that we have provided legal assistance to her but we can’t interfere in US law.
Sardar Latif Khosa said that in dual nationality case, chairman Senate would decide whether Rehman Malik can continue in his office as Interior Minister or not.
He said that letter written by then Attorney General Malik Qayyum was unauthorized.
The Punjab Governor was of the view that former prime minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani took the right decision of not writing letter to the Swiss officials in accordance with the constitution of the country.
