LAHORE - Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Ch Shafiq Ahmed has dismissed ten police officials on the charges of misuse of authority, illegal custody in police stations, delay in registration of FIRs, being involved in criminal activities and corruption, a press release has been issued.

He also gave punishments such as compulsory retirement, reduction in rank, forfeiter of service, reduction in pay and censure to 24 cops from the rank of inspector to constable.

The CCPO dismissed Manga Mandi former SHO Ghulam Farid, SI Muhammad Shaifq, ASI Parvez Khalid on the charges of illegally detained a citizen Muhammad Aslam in police station for six days and released him after taking illegal gratification of Rs50 thousand. He also dismissed SI Asim Jhangir for illegally detaining the citizens and misbehaving with the complainant.

The CCPO also dismissed constables Khalid Farid, Farahan Ahmed, Sajid Mahmood, Amir Sabir, Zeeshan Haider, Waqas Khan and Tanveer Maqsood on the charges of misusing the authority, involvement in criminal activates and willful absence from duty.

Ch Shafiq gave punishment of compulsory retirement to Madad Ali and Ghulam Ali on the charges of corruption, misusing the authority and involvement in criminal activates. He dismissed Munir Ahmed to the rank of constable on the charges of misuse of authority and disobeying the orders of seniors.

The CCPO forfeited two years service each of Inspector Abdula Ali Yousaf, Asghar Ali and SI Bashir Ahmed on poor performance. He also gave punishment of reduction in pay by two stages to Shadbagh SHO M Irham, Inspec Zulfiqar , ASI Imran and Const Nadeem, Faisal , Shazad, Kashif, M Waseem and Amjad on poor performance and delay in registration of FIRs.
