An anti-polio campaign has started in Vehari district where 465,104 children under five years of age would be administered polio vaccine.  For this purpose, 1,189 teams had been formed, said District Coordination Officer Jawad Akram addressing the participants of a meeting. He added, “It is our joint responsibility to secure the future of the nation’s children. In the polio campaign, some people refuse to get their children vaccinated. Such parents should be educated against the disease.”  He also ordered the officials concerned that performance of the polio vaccination teams be monitored and for the purpose vigilant officers should be given the task. He also ordered a strict action against the negligent officials and workers.
