SAARC CCI youth summit kicks off at Kathmandu

KATHMANDU : SAARC Chamber of Commerce Young Entrepreneurship Summit themed “Bridging Opportunities” kicked off at Kathmandu, Nepal. Lila Mani Paudel, Chief Secretary, Govt of Nepal inaugurated the Conference attended by more than 300 young entrepreneurs and youth leaders from across South Asia. A three-day Summit is being organised in collaboration with Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs’ Forum (NYEF) and Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FNCCI) and in partnership with Friedrich Naumann Foundation.

, which aims at empowering positive business thinking amongst the South Asian Young entrepreneurs Community.
In addition to Chief Secretary Nepal, the inaugural session was addressed by Samir Thapa, President NYEF, Saurabh Jyoti, Chairperson SAARC Chambers’ Young Entrepreneurs Forum; Pradeep K Shrestha, Vice President SAARC CCI; Suraj Vaidya, President FNCCI; Anisul Haq, Immediate Past President, SAARC CCI along with H.E. Alf Arne Ramslien, Ambassador Norway.
Iqbal Tabish, Secretary General of SAARC CCI told that the major focus of the on-going summit was to give particular attention to cross boarder learning; networking and strengthening economic, cultural ties among young entrepreneur’s as well as young politicians of South Asian nations.
In addition to inaugural session, the conference will discuss important aspects  like “Entrepreneurial ecosystem, Mission Entrepreneurship, Going Global and business leaders Session, which will be addressed by veteran business leaders like Suraj Vaidya, Anisul Haq, Shesh Ghale, Shekhar Golchha who will share their inspirational success stories followed by  Young business leaders session to be addressed by Sujeev Shakya (Nepal), Zulfikar Ali Bader, Vice Chairman, SYEF (Pakistan) and Ejaj Ahmed (Bangladesh), Kamela Siddiqui ( Afghanistan), Korvi Rakshand, CEO Jago Foundation ( Bangladesh)  and  Robin Sitoula.
The three days of the summit are dedicated to wide range of activities from site visit to voices by dignitaries such as Social Entrepreneur- Mr. Anil Chitrakar, Chief executive of Citizens Bank International- Rajan Singh Bhandari, CNN hero of 2012 - social activist Ms Puspa Basnet and the likes.
