LAHORE- Punjab Governor Ch Muhammad Sarwar, currently on a private trip to Europe, has denied media reports about his possible resignation in the days to come.
His spokesperson Agha Mashhood Shorish said Ch Sarwar was presently in Germany raising funds for the flood victims and had no intention to resign.
The controversy about Chaudhry’s resignation started after a local news channel aired his interview in which he talked about the sorry state of affairs in government departments in Pakistan. The governor had also told the interviewer that he had a very bad experience of working with government institutions in the last 15 months.
Javid Hashmi’s statement that Sarwar was also part of Imran-Qadri meeting in London added fuel to the fire. A noted anchorperson went to the extent of saying that the president should seek resignation from Sawar after Hashmi’s revelations.
