KARACHI - PIA’s pre-Haj operation is continuing successfully with on time departures and arrivals, a spokesman of the airline said here on Sunday. He stated that PIA has till Sunday transported more than 35,000 intending pilgrims from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia through 86 Pre-Haj flights and regular scheduled flights. PIA has carried 3,982 intending pilgrims from Karachi to Saudi Arabia through 12 flights, 5,190 from Lahore through 12 flights, 4,787 from Islamabad through 10 flights, 6,795 from Quetta by 22 flights and 6,072 intending pilgrims from Peshawar through 19 flights, 2,618 from Multan by 8 flights and 1,498 intending pilgrims from Sialkot through 3 flights to Saudi Arabia.
The airline’s Pre-Haj operation of transporting intending Haj pilgrims to Saudi Arabia will conclude on September 28, he added.
