Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has announced some developmental projects for Gwadar; including a dam, a free-zone business complex, and a university. The free-zone project would be exempt from taxes for 23 years and would cover a total of 2300 acres. The Business Service Complex would support the campaign in developing better export and import trade. A university would be established soon to promote education in Gwadar, and several schools in Gwadar have been gifted by the Communist Party of China. Before the CPEC protect, Gwadar was largely ignored. Since the starting of CPEC in Gwadar, the leadership has framed numerous developmental projects; but the question arises: how many of these projects will actually be implemented?

If Pakistan’s future heavily depends on CPEC, these projects must see completion. I request the concerned authorities to develop and promote Gwadar.
