India using cheap tactics to save Modi: Fawad Chaudhry

In a stern response to Indian army chief’s threatening remarks, Information and Broadcasting Minister Fawad Chaudhry has said on Saturday that India was using hate speech against Pakistan to bail Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi out of the calls for his resignation over a ‘French deal.’

The minister, in a tweet, criticized the Indian government after they backed out of a meeting in New York and issued a statement which personally attacked the Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Fawad termed the statement as undiplomatic and condemned the use of ‘such cheap tactics’ in a bid to bail their PM out. Separately, Indian army chief General Bipin Rawat also threatened to take launch action against Pakistan.

“India will have to respond to Pakistan in their own language without resorting to barbarism,” Rawat told Indian media, according to Indian TV. He supported Indian government’s decision to call off the talks with Pakistan in New York on UNGA sidelines..

"I think our govt's policy has been quite clear and concise. We've made no bones about the fact that talks and terrorism can't go hand in hand. Pakistan needs to curb menace of terrorism," he said.

Fawad Chaudhry, in a statement, responded strictly against such shameful statements and said that Pakistan rejected the war-mongering by ruling elite of India. “We reject war mongering by ruling elite of India everyone knows that the Indian government uses hate against Pakistan basically to bail Modi from call for resignation post-French jets deal and to divert attention of Indian public from this mega corruption scandal,” he said.
