Islamabad police deny having raided at Senator Nyazee’s house

ISLAMABAD    -  Islamabad police have categori­cally denied having raided the house of Senator Saifullah Sar­war Khan Nyazee in Islamabad on September 13.

A report submitted to the Sen­ate Standing Committee on Inte­rior by the Islamabad Inspector General of Police said that ICT police did not conduct any raid at the house of senator Nyazee. “As per report of all police sta­tions, ICT police did not conduct any raid at the house of Senator Saifullah Nyazee on 13 Septem­ber,” said the report. The com­mittee is meeting today (Thurs­day) to discuss the raid on the senator’s house. The meeting was earlier scheduled for 19 Septem­ber to discuss the raid by Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and Islamabad police at the senator’s house on 13 September (suo moto notice taken by the chairman committee); however, the min­ister for interior and secretary interior were not in a position to attend the meeting due to previ­ous official engagements.
