There is no point in criticizing the President for joining the meeting of Friends of Democratic Pakistan to discuss the problems being faced by the country. Pakistan has been fighting the global war against terrorism for eight years. That has caused irreparable damage to the country. There is no shame in Pakistan demanding help from other countries to repair this damage because Pakistan is not fighting this war for its own sake. It is doing so for the benefit of the international community. Friends of Democratic Pakistan should come forward to help us economically. By doing so, they will be helping a noble cause. -HAMZA NASIR, Lahore, April 22.
