Many Senators from Balochistan and FATA boycotted the proceedings of the in-camera session of the house on Thursday held to review the security situation of Balochistan. The officials of Federal Interior Ministry, Intelligence Bureau and Frontier Constabulary briefed the upper house of the Parliament on alleged foreign involvement in fueling turmoil and insurgency in Balochistan. The Senate was briefed in detail on the growing militancy in Balochistan while the documented evidences of dozens of sanctuaries of separatist militants in the province were also laid before the house. The security officials also presented the record of satellite communication of separatist elements with other countries to the Senators and apprised them of the phone-call details by the abductors of UN official John Solecki that they made from Mastung to Kabul.
