LAHORE- The District Coordination Officer (DCO) Lahore Sajjad Ahmed Bhutta has constituted 18 teams in all the towns of the city in order to implement the orders of government to control use of electricity in marriage halls, buildings, trees, CNG and petrol stations hotels and stores. The DCO also took strict notice of the electric signboards and billboards installed on various buildings and marriage halls, which remained switched on despite strict instructions issued by the authorities. He was presiding over a meeting of town administrators, TMOs, TORs, TOI & S and DOs held here on Thursday. He also advised the town administrators and other officials to ensure saving energy. He also issued directions that all the computers and other electric machinery would be switched off after accomplishing official work. He also directed all the officers to prepare an action plan of load management and submit in his office within 24 hours with ensuring its implementation. He said all the electric billboards, neon signs and other signboards have been banned and the officers are bound to monitor them and implement the orders. He said that lighting and billboards and signboards of CNG stations and Petrol Pumps would also be switched off in the evening. Meanwhile he visited Data Ganj Bukhsh Town and suspended TOIF Muhammad Saeed and other five officials on negligence and for failing in eliminating wall chalking and further directed the TMO to eliminate wall chalking within three days. He said the negligence on part of the officials would not be tolerated and stern action would be initiated against them.
