LAHORE - Suspended DSP Imran Babar Jameel has sought unconditional apology from IG Punjab Tariq Saleem Dogar and CCPO Lahore Pervez Rathore for levelling charges on Lahore police high ups regarding putting pressure on him for releasing four dacoity accused. Imran Babar has been suspended two months back after he had been proved guilty in judicial inquiry conducted by district and sessions court on the directions of Lahore High Court. After this, five cases were registered against suspended DSP in two different police stations and he was arrested and now he was in Camp Jail on judicial remand. On Thursday, he submitted a written apology through SP Discipline to IG Punjab and CCPO Lahore Pervaiz Rathore. However CCPO Pervaiz Rathor said that he did not receive any written apology in this regard as the said DSP has been writing such apology letters to all the concerned police high ups for the very first day after he was arrested. The CCPO said such apology letters hold no grounds as the judicial inquiry had already proved him guilty and the cases registered against him were on the basis of true grounds and now the matter was in the court and the court would decide it. According to police, the suspended DSP has been nominated in Case 63/2010 under PPC409 (Criminal breach of trust by public servant), in case number 65/2010 under PPC 419 (Punishment for cheating by impersonation) PPC420 (Cheating and dishonestly Inducing delivery of property) and PPC468 (Forgery for purpose of cheating). , PPC420 (Cheating and dishonestly Inducing delivery of property) and in case number 64/2010 under PPC290 (Punishment for public nuisance in cases not otherwise provided for), PPC291(Continuance of nuisance after injunction to discontinue), PPC143 (Punishment for a member of an unlawful assembly), PPC 149 (Every member of unlawful assembly guilty of offence committed in prosecution of common object), PPC431 (Mischief by injury to public road. , bridge, river or channel), PPC 341 (Punishment for wrongful restraint).
