PESHAWAR - All is set for the Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf-sponsored show of power today (Saturday) here to press the government to halt drone attacks and pro-US policies. In the two-day sit-in, the provincial leadership has claimed that over 0.2 million people are expected to participate in the show. Talking to TheNation, PTIs provincial secretary information Zahid Hussain Mohmand informed that over 0.2 million people from across the country would participate in the sit-in at Bagh-e-Naran square, Hayatabad. Giving details of arrangements, he said Imran Khan would leave for the venue from Islamabad at 10am. Accompanied by thousands of party workers and supporters, the cricketer-cum-politician Imran would reach the venue afternoon, where he would join the gathering against the drones. Zahid further said vehicles would be parked at a football ground near Bagh-e-Naran, while food stalls and waters tanks would also be made available at the venue. He said they had chosen the venue for the sit-in because of an easy diversion of traffics to other routs. He hoped there would be no traffic problem. Regarding security arrangements, he said for this purpose over 600 volunteers had been tasked the security duty. About the participation of delegates from other parties, he said so far they had been assured by the central leadership of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Jamiat-e-Ulamia Islam (JUI-F), PML-N, PPP (Sherpao) JUI (Sami) PML-Q and the central organization of traders to participate in the sit-in.
