QUETTA - Two drivers of vehicles, carrying supplies for US-led coalition forces stationed in neighbouring country Afghani-stan were killed in two separate firing incidents in Quetta and Khuzdar on Friday. In the first incident, a Kandahar-bound Nato tanker was passing from Western Bypass area of Quetta when armed assailants opened indiscriminate fire on it near Mengalabad Cross. Resultantly, driver of the tanker, identified as Kayal Muhammad, received critical wounds and succumbed to his injuries. Police quoting eyewitnesses said that attackers were riding a motorbike who fled from the scene after the incident. Police moved the body to hospital for autopsy and handed over it to heirs after completing legal formalities. In the second incident, a trawler was heading towards Kandahar from Karachi when it came under attack at National Highway near Baghbana area of Khuzdar, some 360 km away from Quetta. As a result, driver Sahib Khan died on the spot. Windscreen and glasses of vehicle were also damaged in the incident.
