OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Syed Munawar Hassan has urged the Ulema to join hands for foiling the enemy designs against Islam and for the enforcement of Sharia in the country. Addressing the concluding session of three-day consultative meeting of Ulema organised by Jamiat-e-Ittehadul-Ulema Pakistan at Mansoora on Friday, he said the anti-Islam forces were trying to weaken the Muslims by creating differences in their ranks and the Ulema should frustrate their designs by rising above petty differences and play their role for the solidarity and the integrity of the country and to prepare the masses for a grand Islamic revolution. Prominent Ulema from all over the country attended the meeting which was also addressed by President Jamiat-e-Ittehadul Ulema Maulana Abdul Malik and Secretary Maulana Ataur Rahman. Munawar Hasan said that since 9/11, crusades were being fought against the Muslims under US patronage but unfortunately, the Muslim rulers stood with the superpower in this war. The Muslim rulers were US slaves and were obeying the US simply to remain in power. He said these pro-US rulers were responsible for the prevailing situation and had sold out the countrys honour for personal interests. These rulers were amassing billions while the masses lived from hand to mouth, he said. He said the US and her allies that considered themselves the only civilized people, had been carrying on the genocide of the Muslims. The west was trying to keep the world away from Islam, the religion of peace, by labelling the Muslims as extremists and terrorists. The west had rendered the Muslim rulers graceless by making them corrupt and beggars and the rulers were trying to crush the mass movements. He said the US was fighting a war against Pakistan while sitting in Afghanistan. He further said the west was patronizing the desecration of the Holy Quran and the blasphemy to check the advance of Islam. The satanic pastor who had desecrated the Holy Quran was being given full protection. The mosques in the west were being closed to stop the Muslims from worship. In France, respectable Muslim ladies were being subjected to mental torture through fines for wearing veils. But despite all these anti Islam measures of the west, the number of people entering Islams fold were increasing. He said millions of Muslims had been killed in Iraq and Afghanistan but the enemy had not achieved its goal. JI flays drone attacks: Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Syed Munawar Hasan has condemned the drone attacks in North Waziristan and deplored the silence of the human rights bodies on the US atrocities against innocent Muslims. In a statement issued here Friday, he said the armed forces and the rulers had failed to make the US understand their viewpoint for stopping drone attacks. Munawar Hasan said the drone attack immediately after Mike Mullens departure showed that the Pakistani leadership had been cowed down by the US threats. The US was carrying out attacks while the military leadership was witnessing the killing of its civilians helplessly.
