According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, majority of Pakistanis (63%) has lost hope in the governments’ ability to deal with energy shortages.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked “In your opinion, how many chances are there that the present government will be able to take the country out of the energy crisis?”

Responding to this, 7% are hopeful about the governments’ ability to deal with the energy crisis, 23% are modest hopefuls whereas 63% have no hope in the governments’ ability to deal with the energy crisis. However 6% did not give a view.
