NOWSHERA VIRKAN - The journalist community, religious scholars and senior citizens of the city paid rich tributes to the icon of journalism Majeed Nizami, Editor-in-Chief of The Nation and Editor Nawa-i-Waqt on successful completion of 50 years of editorship. They termed Majid Nizami a noble personality in the national as well as journalistic history of Pakistan. “Mr Nizami is the name of an institution for all generations. He deserves great appreciations for his valuable contribution to journalism, especially for guarding the ideology of the country,” they elaborated. Hakeem Abdul Majeed Pardesi said that Majid Nizami always raised voice against dictators and worked hard for the promotion Nazria-e-Pakistan. “He is a source of inspiration for the younger generation and a bulwark against anti-Pakistan forces,” he argued. AZMAT-E-QURAN CONFERENCE: Third annual ‘Azmat-e-Quran’ conference will be held here at Jamia Masjid Rehmania on Tuesday (tomorrow). Maulana Khan Ahmad Shoaib Khan from Dera Ismail Khan and Maulana Muti Ullah Rashid from Gujranwala will address the conference.
