LAHORE - Speakers at a conference stressed upon the masses to use their vote prudently in the next elections to bring a real change and ensure stability and solidarity of the country.

They were of the view that the last elections had merely changed faces and the rulers were toeing the policies of Musharraf regime. They said that the US, India and Israel were not ready to tolerate first nuclear power among Muslim countries.

Jamaat-e-Islami Punjab organised ‘Naveed-e-Inqalab Conference’ here Sunday in connection with party’s mass contact campaign. JI Punjab Ameer Dr Syed Waseem Akhtar presided over the conference. Ameer-ul-Azeem, Abdul Aziz Abid, Zahoor Wattu, Jehangir Bara and Malik Ilyas were also present.

Akhtar said that the government had failed on every front and the masses were forced to commit suicide. He said that those rising slogan of roti, kapra and makan were making people beggars through Benazir Income Support Programme. He said that it was a pity that the Prime Minister was committing contempt of court to save ill gotten money of one individual.

Ameer-ul-Azeem said that the rulers were protecting interests of the US and not Pakistan. He said that the nation would never accept restoration of Nato supplies.

He said that the government was befooling the masses on one pretext or other but now people would not come in their trap and would only vote to power the honest politicians.
