KARACHI – The Karachi University’s Department of International Relations is organising a seminar on “Pak-Russian Relations: Potentials and Prospects” on Monday (today). Andrey V Demidov, the consul general of the Russian Consulate in Karachi, will be the key speaker.

Last date for admission forms submission: Application forms for admission to MPhil/PhD/MS/MD can be submitted till Monday (today) with a late fee of Rs500. Moreover, list of eligible candidates for KU entrance test will be displayed on 26th April on the University’s website.

Meanwhile, the KU’s Department of History is launching a project on History Media Policy in collaboration with Public Policy Forum (PPF). The project aims at developing interaction among academia, media and policy makers. It intends to facilitate major stakeholders of the fore mentioned agencies for bridging gaps and developing a healthy and trust-worthy relationship. In relation, a panel discussion is organized to introduce and discuss the theme of the project, titled Academia, Media, Policy Makers: A Strategic Triangle on April 26th 2012 at 10:00 am in the Arts Auditorium, KU.

Meanwhile, the Department of Library and Information Scienceis organising a Seminar on the occasion of World Book Day at 10:00 am on Monday, 23rd April 2012 at Arts Auditorium. The renowned scholars and book writers, Mr. Hashim Nadeem (Novelist), Mr. Jalaluddin (Cricketer) and Ms. Shaha Jamshed (Playwright) will participate in a Talk Show entitled “Kitab: Meri Hamdam, Meri Dost” conducted by Prof. Malahat Kaleem Sherwani and Prof. Dr. Mahmood Ghaznavi.
