Sharifs ignoring public woes: PPP

LAHORE-The PPP’s Deputy Parliamentary Leader in Punjab Assembly, Shaukat Mahmood Basra said on Sunday that Chief Minister Secretariat had become a Dharna House due to oppression of the PML-N leadership whom he accused of showing criminal negligence towards peoples’ problem.
In a press statement, the PPP leader said that it was height of cruelty that police resorted to baton charge the people who had gathered outside the Chief Minister Secretariat to meet the CM for redressal of their grievances.
He alleged that Punjab government was sitting on Punjab’s resources and seemed reluctant to provide relief to the poor employees who, otherwise, had equal right on resources of the province. According to him, Punjab government was practicing a capitalist system in the province instead of the democratic system currently in vogue elsewhere in the country. “The capitalists of Raiwind are busy filling their own pockets by their loot and plunder of Punjab’s resources especially of southern Punjab”, he further alleged.
