Lahore - PML–N President Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif while addressing party workers here on Monday, said that his party is contesting the elections with a vision of a progressive Pakistan.

He said after coming into power his party will introduce schemes like the National Health Insurance Programme that would ensure the most vulnerable in society and the common man will get access to affordable health care.

He also stated that the health budget would be increased substantially.

Nawaz said that unabated loadshedding and gas shortage have crippled the daily lives of the citizens while constant inflation, unemployment and poverty had brought the society to its knees.

He slammed the PPP for not being able to present a comprehensive health care policy even after five years in power.

He told party workers, that PML-N would ensure access to safe drinking water across Pakistan including far-flung areas, so that water borne diseases can be prevented.

He said that a PML – N victory on May 11th would promote Pakistan’s soft image globally.
