Two children burnt alive and another wounded critically when a shack caught fire near the Expo Centre in Johar Town, police and rescuers said Monday.
“The fire is under control right now but two girls are found expired,” Nawab Town station house officer said.  The deceased were identified as Iqra, 3, and Aqsa, 6, the daughters of Amina Bibi. A minor boy, Arslan, sustained burns and was rushed to hospital where his condition was out of danger. Their mum went to a market when the tragedy took place.
Recovered
A 13-year-old missing boy was recovered from Iqbal Town, police sources said. Bilal Ahmed was playing outside his house when he went missing mysteriously. Police said that one of the neighbors of the victim was also involved in abduction case. The police confirmed his arrest but did not mention further details.  Separately, a 25-year-old motorcyclists was crushed to death in the Garden Town area, police said .  The deceased, Shehzad, was on his way to Model Town Link Road when a car run over his bike, wounding him critically. He died on his way to hospital. Police handed over the body to family.
Bodies found
Two men were found dead.  A 50-year-old man, yet to be identified, was found dead from the Gowalmandi area.
In another incident, an unidentified man was recovered dead from a footpath in the limits of Data Darbar police station. Police investigators said that apparently, the man was a drug addict.
Like other big cities, the dead bodies of the addicts are regularly recovered from the footpaths in Lahore especially during the extreme weather condition. The police remove the bodies to the morgue, where young doctors get the opportunity to examine and carry out practically work as part of their training.
