KARACHI During relief operation, the jawans of Pak army have evacuated thousands of people from flooded areas to safer places. More than 38,000 people are also being fed at various relief camps along Indus River and adjoining areas including Thatta, Tando Muhamad Khan, Dadu Matiari Bhanote Sakrand Johi Qambar Shahd-adkot Quboisaid Khan, Jacobabad Kashmore. Besides, Army also has provided tons of uncooked food items at various camps to reduce the burden of marooned people. Army also have rescued more than 17 thousand people from various inundated areas from Kashmore to Thatta. It is worth mentioning here that a village near Soonda Thatta was fully submerged by floodwater and the dedicated soldiers went deep in to the river and evacuated more than 50 people to safer places. Besides, a dedicated medical team of Pano Aqil and Hyderabad garrison have also deployed various medical teams at various sensitive places where civilian as well as Army doctors with their nursing staff are serving round the clock. A special anti snake bite team for treatment is also on board to meet any serious casualty. Moreover, medical battalions are organising the 3-day medical camps in sensitive areas all over Sindh.
