KARACHI (PPI) - Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister, Farooqui on Sunday lashed out at KESC for carrying out loadshedding in the holy month of Ramazan and tormenting people observing fast. It is pity that KESC has made no plan to provide relief to the citizens even during Ramazan which is widely condemned by the people of every sector of life. Power supply arrangements should be made on the basis of demand of people, she said in a statement. She said that KESC should maintain the sanctity of Ramazan and end loadshedding with immediate effect. Every one knows that Ramazan comes one time in a year, so the power entity should have made special arrangements in this regard, she said. She said that the people had to face problems in running generators for raising water supply to high rise buildings due to KESC power outages, so it should raise its infrastructure as per rising demand of the City. With the first drop of rain, the KESC usually fall flat and cause electrocution of several people which has been witnessed in its recent history, adding that the compensation of which has still not been paid to victims, the advisor noted. She said that private administration had deteriorated the efficiency of the KESC, causing miseries to citizens and hitting businessmen hard. She said that the people during the Ramazan have been compelled to run generators to get relief, while which is too costly. She advised KESC to adopt a positive approach acceptable to all sections of the society and provide uninterrupted power supply to the citizens on priority basis.
