LAHORE As many as seventy designers exhibited their collection of clothes to raise funds for flood affectees under the auspices of Jazba Foundation held in Royal Palm Golf and Country Club here on Sunday. Eminent designers, philanthropists, members of Jazba Foundation and public at large purchased various items exhibited under Fashion for Flood Relief in collaboration with Royal Palm Golf and Country Club and Jazba Foundation. The designers donated large number of their products in the exhibition. As many as Rs 1.5 million were collected from the sale of these products. This money will be utilised for arranging ration, medicines and other essential commodities for flood affectees and it will be distributed through the relief network of Armed Forces. Ms Amina Taseer, wife of Governor Punjab, and former governor Punjab Lt General (r) Khalid Maqbool also participated in the exhibition. Former Governor and President Jazba Foundation Khalid Maqbool said that different sections of society were showing their commitment to help alleviate the sufferings of flood affectees by donating in cash and kind. He said that the people had the will and capacity to meet the challenge of this calamity.
