KARACHI - As many as four people were killed in separate incidents of violence and mishap here in the city on Sunday. As per details, a robber was gunned down near Shabbir Eye Hospital in Metroville in the SITE-A Police precincts. According to the police, the victim was later identified as Muhammad Zaman, 29, son of Ammer Muhammad Khan, a resident of Nazimabad No-4. The incident took place when he entered a mobile shop in Metroville area, looted cell-phones and cash from there and was about to making out with the booty when the shopkeeper fired multiple gunshots at him, from behind, from his licensed weapon. Resultantly, the robber died instantly while the police took the body to Civil Hospital Karachi for a post-mortem. In another incident, a man was gunned down near garbage drum on Rahim Shah Ro-ad in the remit of Garden Police. The police said that identity of the deceased could not be established immediately. The police said that unidentified culprits shot at and injured him and managed to flee from the scene. He was rushed to Civil Hospital Kar-achi where he succumbed to his injuries. After legal formalities the body was shifted to mortuary for identification. Meanwhile, a woman was killed when she was trying to end a scuffle among her sons here at Sikander Goth near Al-Asif Square in the limits of Sachal Police. According to detail, 50-year-old Amna Bibi, wife of Muhammad Sharif was trying to settle a scuffle, erupted among her sons - Jumma, Ashraf and Yousaf over some issue. In meanwhile, during her mediatory efforts, she sustained severe blows of wooden stick and died instantly. The body was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for legal formalities and later handed over to the heirs. No case was lodged till filling of this story. Separately, a man was crushed to death at Ghani Chowrangi in the jurisdiction of SITE-B Police. The victim later was identified as Moiz Janan, 50, son of Shahzad Gul and a resident of Haroonabad. He was on his way to somewhere when suddenly a speeding truck crushed him to death. The police arrested the truck driver Shafiullah and impounded the vehicle. The police lodged a case on the complaint of the deceaseds son Shoaib. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for autopsy and later handed to the heirs.
