BAHAWALPUR - Learning of Arabic is essential to understand the holy Quran perfectly as with proper knowledge of the Arabic language every Muslim can follow the teachings of Islam and Sunnah (PBUH) in letter and spirit. This was stated by Islamia University Bahawalpur Vice-Chancellor Dr Mukhtar at the concluding session of a fortnight course about "Learning Quran and Namaz" here the other day.

The session was arranged by the Faculty of the Islamic Learning, IUB in collaboration of with Shamim Group of Industries, Wasaib Organization and the Quran Asaan Society, Bahawalpur.  He congratulated the participants of the course and organisers and urged the youngsters to take part in these courses actively for better life as it would provide the solid base for success in the world.

He said that IUB was established on the lines of the renowned Jamia Al-Azhar of Egypt and Training Workshops under the Seerat Chair and Qulia-e-Islamia are being conducted here regularly for the benefits of students and faithful. He said that the classes of Islamiyat had been recently started at the IUB sub-campus of Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan.  The students from all over the country had been getting best available facilities of education at IUB from Bachelors level to the PhD so this was a matter of quite satisfaction for us, he added.

On the occasion, Course Coordinator Prof Dr Sajjad Paracha and the Course In-charge Prof Dr Altaf Hussain Langrrial also addressed.

Meanwhile Khatmul Quran ceremonies were held at the mosques of IUB.

Addressing on the occasion, The IUB Vice-Chancellor reiterated that the IUB would perform its due role of historical religious and national background to keep alive the moral values for better education and character building of the young generation.

On the occasion, special prayers were offered for the wellbeing of the Muslim Ummah, national solidarity, integrity, progress and prosperity besides the progress of the IUB.
