LAHORE – A parliamentary delegation, led by PPP General Secretary Jahangir Badr, crossed into India on Wednesday to hold official dialogue.The delegation included Senate Deputy Chairman Sabir Baloch, Haji Adeel, Khurram Dastagir Khan, Anushe Rahman Nafeesa Shah and Iftikhar Ali Malik. Faisal Karim Kundi, Mushahid Hussain Syed and Shazia Marri were also part of the delegation but could not make it. The delegation will meet Indian parliamentarians in Delhi, Patna and Bihar and would take up with them matters of mutual interest.Talking to the media before leaving for India, Sabir Baloch said such visits would go a long way to ease tensions between the two countries. Badr said this was the fourth parliamentary delegation visiting India and expressed the hope the visit would help pave the way for cooperation and trade between the two countries. Haji Adeel would be representing KP while Khurram Dastagir will invite the chief minister of Bihar to visit Punjab on behalf of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
